Today on this hot summer day, I was thinking what to cook,I didn’t want to spend long time in the kitchen something easy and quick.I decided to prepare this easy shrimp dish that I found from Kraft Cooking.I only doubled the ingredients and made miner changes,it was very easy, in just few minutes the shrimps were cooked with spicy lemony taste, very delicious.Serve shrimps as an appetiser, drizzled with lemon juice or as a main dish with rice pilaf .Enjoy
Ingredients :for three
500 gr. uncooked divined ,peeled large shrimps
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 large chopped onion (1/2 cup)
2 tablespoons extra olive oil and 2 tablespoons aged balsamic vinegar and 1/2 teaspoon coarse sea salt mix together with fork.or use (like original recipe 4 tablespoons olive oil balsamic vinaigrette)
3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
1 teaspoon Garam Masala (Indian spice)
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 lemon to drizzle over shrimps
Preparation:
1.Heat 2 tablespoons oil in skillet on medium-high heat.Add onions;cook and stir 2 minutes,or until crisp-tender.
2.Stir in shrimp;cook 2 minutes,stirring occasionally.
3.Add balsamic, oil, salt solution,spices and chopped cilantro;cook until shrimp turn pink about 2 minutes.
4.Serve hot as an appetizer drizzled with lemon juice,or with lemon wedges.or as a main dish with rice pilaf .
