LENTIL-WITH-LEMON /ADAS-BIL-HAMOD/ Lenten delicious soup .
Healthy, tasty Lebanese popular soup serve with fresh bread and olives.Enjoy
Ingredients:
2 cups cleaned washed brown (small dark color)lentils
1 bunch of chopped Swiss chard washed very well few times and drained
15 cloves garlic, peeled
3 large lemon juice (1/2 cup lemon juice)
1/2 cup olive oil
4 tablespoons of vegetable bouillon or(chicken bouillon)
1 teaspoon coarse sea salt.
Preparation:
1.In a stock pot, fill with16 cups of cold water, add the lentils,bring to boil cover slightly and cook at medium heat for 45 minutes.
2. Chop finely, washed Swiss chard and keep aside.
3.After the lentils are cooked add the vegetable bouillon, chopped Swiss chard,and continue cooking 5 minutes .
4.In hand blender container, put the garlic, olive oil,salt and blend all few seconds ,until you have clear garlicky sauce.
5.Heat a skillet add the garlic sauce,and saute’ for 1 minute, then add the lemon juice stir and pour over the pot, continue cooking the soup semi-covered at medium-low heat 15 minutes,take out of heat and serve.
