Beirut, 13Th of July 2020 :

“During this pandemic, I took the time to go back and review my cultural references to absorb and understand what’s going on. I realized that change is imminent and that it’s time to focus on fundamentals and authenticity.

That’s how the 60’s & 70’s known as the “golden era of drastic changes” imposed themselves as the source of inspiration for my first RTW collection”.”I felt particularly appealed by this era as it witnessed recurring fights such as those for women’s rights or against racism”Said Naja

“I decided to take a new look at the world, to see it and reveal its beauty through the lens of humanism so I gave my first RTW collection the name of “Human Be-In”” He added.

“Human Be-In” reflects Naja’s new minimalistic approach and features a variety of lengths from mini to midi and maxi dresses ,and cuts from A line to flared to shift or fluid and bell-shaped and empire waist dresses that marked the 60’s as well as wide pants and jumpsuits that scream 70’s.

Three dresses  -that come in a harmonious blend of navy blue & black-are softly sequin embellished as a subtle hint to moon exploration and astronautes that also influenced fashion trends in that period

In addition to the corset,”Human Be-In” encompasses a variety of elements that were very popular in that era such as bishop & bell sleeves, puffed shoulders, waist- cinching belts, turbans ….

The outfits are cut in a diversity of fabrics from silk to tulle and mousseline, which common traits are fluidity and softness.

The outfits come in a harmonious and feminine palette of pastel tones of light green, blue, emerald pink, peach and purple as well gold, bronze, black & white.

Although “Human Be In” is inspired by the 60’s and 70’s ,it is nevertheless adapted to the modern trendy look of today’s fashion.

And despite it being Naja’s first Ready to Wear collection, it preserves Saade’s acute  attention to details and refinement.

“Human Be-In” RTW collection will be available Online on Naja Saade’s website @ www.najasaade.com .
