L.I.P.S. Management, in collaboration with ABC Lebanon and ELLE Oriental, presented the fourth edition of the Beirut Young Fashion Designers Competition (BYFDC), headed by the Lebanese International designer Rabih Kayrouz and in the presence of the international guest star celebrity Victoria Bonya; The first competition of its kind that has established itself as the only platform for fashion design students and young designers who seek the right exposure to begin or promote their careers.
The competition took place on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at ABC Verdun – L3 Gardens, in the presence of various celebrities, public figures, media, universities, diplomats, families and friends of the contestants. Guests were greeted to a cocktail reception provided by G. Vincenti & Sons s.a.l., on the Red Carpet, after which they entered the Garden where the competition took place.
In the jury lounge, the Lebanese presenter Cynthia Zeinoun, introduced the BYFDC’s judges:
Rabih Kayrouz: Lebanese International Designer & Head of Jury
Victoria Bonya: International Model, Public Figure & Celebrity Guest Star
Desiree Sadek: Journalist & Director of ELLE Oriental
Tania Azzedine: Head of Real Estate for ABC Lebanon.
Twelve young designers who are fresh graduates from various fashion design universities across Lebanon participated in the competition, which was transmitted LIVE worldwide on Web-En-Direct. The contestants were given the theme ‘Cyborg Couture’ according to which they had to create, design and execute four full outfits.
The contestants – Ahmad Hawali / Assaad Bou Mjahed / Badwy Nicolas / Christia Saad / Christophe Semaan / Hawrae Awali / Jean Pierre Khoury / Judas Mordache / Leon Arapguirlian / Mirella Nemr / Nayla Obeid / Saro Jacque Tchaparian all competed for the winning title in front of the jury panel. Post-competition, all these designers will be displaying their designs in a Pop Up store in ABC Verdun – GF Floor for a period of one month, open to the public, which was launched when the competition was over.

A full sponsorship by Toufic N. Takchi for garments to produce his first collection (15 outfits) with the consultancy and approval of Mr. Takchi, Mr. Kayrouz and Mr. Johnny Fadlallah.
A fashion show for his collection that will be revealed at the third edition of the Designers & Brands – Beirut in October 2018 at Hilton Beirut Habtoor Grand granted by L.I.P.S. Management – Johnny Fadlallah + media interviews and PR.
Creating a brand and identity with Samantha Fadlallah (graphic designer, concept/identity creator, and Partner/COO at L.I.P.S. Management)
